Hartville softball scores 26 runs in wins

The Hartville Lady Eagles moved their record to 7-1 this spring after outscoring their last three opponents by a 32-8 margin, which included scoring 26 total runs in two Summit Conference victories.
In their Summit Conference opener in Sparta, Hartville put 11 runs on the board in the first two innings to run away with a 15-3 win.
Sarah Palmer had a big day with two RBIs and three runs scored; Brielle Kline had three RBIs and scored one run; Danica Flachsmann had one RBI and scored three times; Madisyn Stigall had one RBI and scored twice; Peyton Dudley and Gensen Culver had one RBI and scored one run; Maddie Brown had one RBI; and Haddie Ward scored three times.
On the mound, Saige Petty tossed five innings and gave up three earned runs on seven hits with three strikeouts.
The Lady Eagles ended the week by shutting out Seymour, 11-0.
Kline hit a solo home run in the win as she had the one RBI and one run scored as did Culver and Dudley.
