Three Wright County CC programs run in Conway
Three of Wright County’s cross country programs competed in the recent Conway Invitational and experienced some success.
Norwood
The Norwood Lady Pirates’ cross country team had two runners finish in the top five at the recent Conway Invitational.
Competing against a field of 44 runners, Jayden Chambers was third place overall with her time of 22:25.88.
Kalie Chadwell placed fourth with her time of 22:31.63.
Mansfield
Mansfield’s cross country program took home several medals from last week’s Conway Invitational.
The Lions had three Top-20 finishes as the team was fifth place overall with a 113.
Michael Ivey was 11th with his time of 19:46.26. Brent Stuart took 13th (19:54.99) and Ben Williams finished 18th (20:20.77).
Other runners included Trebor Woods (23:04.17), Oliver Henry (24:40.51), Owen Scofield (25:16.76) and Kayne Mowers (29:19.54).
In the middle school race, Bree Medlin was sixth place overall with her time of 12:14.57. As for the middle school boys, Truann Hoffman placed 14th (10:52.86) and Merle Strohm placed 17th (11:02.40).
Hartville
Hartville’s cross country program competed in the Conway Invitational and had some strong results.
Broc Roden medaled with his ninth place time of 19:51.40, helping the Eagles take eighth place overall as a team with 173 points.
Other runners include Mason Rorrer (22:25.86), Gustin Dennis (23:55.54), Landan Medlock (24:43.97), Micah Clevenger (27:15.88), Wyatt LaFavor (29:43.18) and Leleand Nichols (30:12.51).
As for the Lady Eagles, their two runners finished 28th and 29th respectively.
Ella Pedersen ran the race in 26:46.25 while Claire Dickinson crossed the finish line after her time of 26:46.34.
