Lady Lions’ volleyball season ends in districts

The season came to an end this past week for the Mansfield Lady Lions’ volleyball team after they fell in the first round of the Class 1, District 7 Tournament.
Though the Lady Lions fell 3-1 to No. 3 seed Couch, Mansfield gave the Lady Indians a scare in the opening round.
A 25-22 win in the first set stunned Couch to open the contest.
Unfortunately, Couch responded to win the final three sets, 25-12, 25-15 and 25-19.
Before the postseason, the Lady Lions lost at home in their final regular season match to Gainesville, 3-0.
Mansfield fell 25-16 in the first set and 25-14 in the final two sets.
The Mansfield Lady Lions finished the 2025 season with an 8-25 overall record.
