Mansfield baseball falls to 7-6 for fall season

The Mansfield Lions’ baseball team ended their fall season schedule by being shutout twice, dropping their record to 7-6. Their seventh win came in a 12-hit attack against Seymour as they defeated the Tigers on the road, 14-2.
Parker Moody led the Lions with three RBIs; Braden Tate had two RBIs and two runs scored; John Roberts and Bryston Kingery added two RBIs and one run scored; Riley Person had one RBI and scored twice; while Fisher Croney had one RBI and one run scored.
Brayden Stuart tossed five innings and gave up one earned run on seven hits with five strikeouts and one walk.
In the finale, the Lions’ offense had just four hits in a 4-0 loss at Spokane.
On the mound, Kingery did toss six innings and gave up two earned runs on 10 strikeouts.
They also lost one day earlier to rival Hartville, 10-0. (Information from the Eagles’ game is in Hartville’s article.)
