Mansfield CC competes in Hollister, Clever races

Mansfield’s cross country program had two races last week as runners worked on improving times with districts coming up on the schedule.
In the Hollister Open, the Lions were eighth in the team standings with 201 points.
Against a field of 111 total runners, Brent Stuart was 27th place overall with a time of 19:19.80.
Other runners included Benjamin Williams (20:11), Tre’bor Wood (21:16), Oliver Henry (21:54.90), Owen Scofield (24:08.90) and Kayne Mowers (27:41).
In the Clever Invitational, the Lions were 13th place in the team standings with 346 points.
In a field of 140 runners, Stuart had the best finish completing the course in 42nd place with a time of 19:00.23. Other runners included Woods (21:64.29), Henry (22:50.34), Scofield (23:09.68) and Mowers (25:19.39).
Mansfield hosted a cross country meet just after press time on Oct. 21.
