Michael Allen Williams

Michael Allen Williams
Michael Allen Williams was born on Dec. 22, 1953, in Pocahontas, Ark., to Charlene (Parker) Williams and Junior Albert Williams. He passed away on May 30, 2026, at his home in Mountain Grove at the age of 72 years. As a teenager, Mike moved with his family to Leachville, Ark., where he graduated from Leachville High School in 1972. Mike was baptized at a young age in the United Pentecostal Church and carried his faith with him throughout his life. On April 29, 1972, Mike married the love of his life, Rhonda Lavon Selby. Together they built a life centered on faith, hard work and family. Their first child, Allen, was born on Dec. 27, 1972. In 1976, Mike, Rhonda and Allen relocated to Caruthersville with Brown Shoe Factory. The following year, on May 28, 1977, they would welcome their daughter, Keri. Mike worked for Brown Shoe Factory as a Plant Engineer until the facility's closure in 1996. Following its closing, he attended Vatterott College to study HVAC and soon fulfilled his dream of opening Williams Heating & Cooling. In 1984, the family settled in Mountain Grove, where they established their forever home and became deeply rooted in the community. Later, he accepted a position with the City of Mountain Grove, where he faithfully served the community. He eventually retired after 25 years of service as Public Works Director. Mike was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who deeply loved his family. Staying busy is when he was happiest, whether it was working on a project, golfing, fishing or hunting. Many of his favorite memories were made during summers spent at the family's home away from home in Pontiac on Bull Shoals Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlene and Junior Williams; his sisters, Tena Lightfoot and Brenda Brownlow; his in-laws, Ronald and Sharon Selby; and his daughter-in-law, Amber Williams. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Rhonda Williams, of the home; his son, Allen Williams; his daughter, Keri Williams; his brother-in-law, Blythe Selby; his grandchildren, Ashton Emery (Justin), Austin Williams (Marlie), MaKenzi Hale (Jesse) and MaGuire Williams; six great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends, who will miss him dearly. Mike's legacy of hard work, dedication, and love for his family will live on in all who knew him. Mostest!
