Wright County Sherrif’s Office announces pair of local arrests
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office recently announced a pair of arrests.
Grovespring assault
On Jan. 17, Wright County Sheriff deputies Cunningham and Kinser were dispatched to the Grovespring area in reference to an assault in progress. Upon arrival, deputies observed the victim bleeding from the face with an apparent broken nose.
Following an investigation, Deputy Cunningham placed Richard McAllister into custody without incident. McAllister has been charged with assault in the first degree and is being held on a $25,000 cash-only bond.
“The quick response and professionalism shown by our deputies helped bring this situation under control and reflects our continued commitment to keeping our community safe,” said Wright County Sheriff BJ Adler.
Domestic assault arrest
On Jan. 15, Wright County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Cody Schilling, 30, of Mountain Grove, for domestic assault in the second degree.
Schilling was taken into custody by Deputy Cunningham and Deputy House, with Sheriff BJ Adler on scene to assist.
Schilling is a prior and persistent felony offender with violent tendencies. The arrest was made without incident. Schilling is currently being held on a $10,000 cash-only bond.
“Domestic violence cases are taken very seriously by this agency,” said Sheriff Adler. “Our deputies work diligently to protect victims and hold offenders accountable, while also ensuring arrests are carried out safely for everyone involved. We remain committed to following through on these cases and removing violent individuals from our communities in a professional and controlled manner.”
