Cryer has eight 3-pointers, 46 points in win over Houston

Hartville’s Kinley Cryer goes up strong with a shot against Houston during her 46-point effort.
The Hartville Lady Eagles had one 20-point win in this past week’s 12th Annual Mountain Grove Holiday Tournament.
Their lone win came in convincing fashion as they crushed Houston, 69-49, after a historic game from Kinley Cryer.
Cryer broke the single game scoring record after making eight 3-pointers for 46 total points.
She made four of her 3-pointers in the first half and scored 22 of her team’s 34 points for a 17-point lead at halftime.
Maddie Brown would score six points in the final frame while Cryer added 14 to lift the Lady Eagles to a 20-opint win.
Cryer had her 46 points; Brown added 16; Gensen Culver had three points; while both Jacey Revey and Sarah Palmer scored two points.
Their tournament came to an end in the consolation finals as they fell to Salem, 54-45.
Hartville scored seven points, all from the free throw line, in the third quarter of the tough loss.
Cryer made four, 3-pointers and finished with 16 points. Brown added 14; Culver had eight; Palmer added five; and Revey had two points.
In their other tournament game, the Lady Eagles fell, 52-36, to Van Buren.
Hartville was held to 12 points or less in all four quarters of the loss.
Cryer led the Lady Eagles with 15 points; Brown scored 14 points; Culver had five; while Palmer had one point.
Before the tournament, the Lady Eagles defeated Plato, 53-21, as Hartville’s defense held their opponent to six points or less in all four quarters.
Hartville led 32-10 at halftime and never looked back in the big win.
Palmer made a pair of 3-pointers in the second quarter and scored 10 of her team’s 19 points.
She finished the game with 12 points in the win.
Brown had a team-high 17 points; Cryer added 10; Revey had six; Culver had three; and Brielle Kline scored two points.
