Hartville now 4-0 in Summit Conference

Though the Hartville Eagles’ baseball team split a pair of games last week, their win did have Summit Conference implications. Hartville held off a late Conway rally to beat the Bears, 4-2, pushing their conference record to 4-0 this spring.
Gus Sinning was solid on the mound tossing seven innings and giving up no earned runs on three hits with eight strikeouts and three walks.
TJ Kline and Truett Coryell both had one RBI while Brodyn Hulsey, Brock Jones and Maddox Jones each scored one run.
Their loss came at home against Lighthouse Christian as the Chargers scored two runs in the top of the seventh to send the game into extra innings. They scored four in the eighth for a 13-9 win as the Eagles defense made six errors in the loss.
Maddox Jones and Hulsey had two RBIs and one run scored; Brock Jones and Hunter Lowery had one RBI and one run scored; Jacob Meglan had one RBI; and Coryell scored twice.
Cole Sinning tossed four innings and gave up five earned runs on six hits with three strikeouts and three walks. Hulsey lasted three innings and gave up one earned run on four hits with one strikeout and one walk. Gus Sinning tossed an inning and gave up two earned runs on four hits with one strikeout and one walk.
