Hartville track and field enjoys success at pair of area meets

Hartville’s track and field team experienced some success in area meets held last week.
At the Mountain Grove Invitational, McKenzi Stigall led the Lady Eagles as she won the 400 meters with a time of 1:02.43, was fourth in the 200 (28.41) and fifth in the 100 (13.43).
Kinley Cryer placed second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:35.30.
Claire Dickinson was seventh in the 1,600 (7:09.74).
In field events, Jacey Revey was fifth in the javelin (25.34 meters) and Natalie Oster was eighth in the triple jump (5.80 meters).
Broc Roden was fifth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 46.85 seconds and William Dickinson was sixth place in the 110-meter hurdles (20.11).
The 4x400-meter relay team of Owen Hayes, Jaden Liles, Roden and Dickinson placed seventh (4:0-6.70) and eighth in the 4x200 (1:43.69).
In mixed relay action, the 4x400 was second (4:32.36) and the 4x100  was sixth (1:03.30).
Strafford
At the Strafford Invitational, Stigall had another big meet.
She won the 400 (1:04.64), was second in the 200 (29.11) and fourth in the 100 (14.32).
Carlyn Cantrell was fourth in the 800 (2:44.54) and seventh in the 100 (14.86).
Claire Dickinson was sixth in the 1,600- (7:16.410 and eighth in the long jump (four meters).
Cryer was second in the 300-meter hurdles (52.81) and third in the 800 (2:43.80).
Lorela Daley was fifth in the 300-meter hurdles (1:32.75).
In the discuss, Shaelynn Ghormley was second with a toss of 24.26 meters and seventh in the shot put (6.91 meters).
Revey was fifth in the shot put (7.22 meters) and sixth in the javelin (22.97 meters).
The 4x400-meter relay team was third (4:09.39) and the 4x200 was fourth (1:46.36).
Peyton Tooley took third (32.42 meters) and Micah Clevenger was sixth (27.37 meters) in the discus.
Clevenger was eighth in the javelin (31.2 meters) and Tooley was eighth in the shot put (9.94 meters).
Owen Hayes was seventh in the long jump (5.07 meters).
Gustin Dennis was seventh in the 800 (2:38.66) and seventh in the 1,600 (6:14.74).
Landan Medlock was eighth (3:12.26) in the 800 meters.
Mason Rorrer took fifth in the 1,600 (6:03.50).
William Dickinson was fifth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 20.14 seconds.
Roden was sixth in the 110-meter hurdles (20.15) and finished seventh in the 300-meter hurdles (48.20).
