Hartville track has top performances in area meets

Hartville’s track and field program earned some team points in a pair of meets held last week in the area.

Chadwick
In the Chadwick Invitational, the Lady Eagles won two events.
McKenzi Stigall won the 400 meters race with her time of 1:05.25. She was also second in the 100 (14.24) and third in the 200 (28.96).
Meanwhile, Kinley Cryer won the 800 meters with a time of 2:42.12 while Caryln Cantrell was sixth (2:51.15).
In the discus event, Shaeylnn Ghormley was second with a toss of 24.81 meters.
Jacey Revey was sixth in the javelin with a toss of 23 meters.
Broc Roden led the Eagles with a big day, placing sixth in both the 110-meter hurdles (20.00) and 300-meter hurdles (46.78).
Micah Clevenger was seventh in the javelin (32.67 meters) while the 4x200-meter relay team placed eighth (1:47.27).
Clever
One day later, Hartville participated in the Clever Invitational and picked up a few team points.
Cryer led the Lady Eagles as she was third in both the 800 meters (2:38.73) and 300-meter hurdles (51.46).
Stigall was sixth in the 400 (1:06.81) and seventh in the 200 (29.27).
In the discus event, Ghormley was seventh with a toss of 25.53 meters.
The Eagles were led by the 4x200-meter relay team as they were eighth with a time of 1:45.32.
The 4x400-meter relay team was 10th (4:15.94).
