Wright County Sheriff’s deputy injured in Highway 95 accident

A Wright County Sheriff’s deputy suffered minor injuries in a two vehicle accident that took place at 10:22 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 23.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Report and a social media posting from the Wright County Sheriff’s Office, the accident took place on Highway 95, 13 miles north of Mountain Grove.
Nicholas Mayberry, 35, of Willard, was driving a 2006 GMC Sierra when the vehicle failed to yield a right-of-way and struck a 2016 Ford Explorer driven by Deputy William Busby, 27, of Hartville.
Busby was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon.
Mayberry reportedly had no injuries and denied medical treatment at the scene. Both Busby and Mayberry were wearing a safety device at the time of the accident.
Wright County Sheriff Sonny Byerley asked on social media for folks to pray for Busby’s speedy recovery.
