Lady Lions get 12-point win over Billings
The Mansfield Lady Lions’ basketball team moved their record to 2-1 on the young season last week after traveling to Billings and leaving with a 51-38 victory. Addie Jones paced her team early by scoring six of her team’s 12 points in the first quarter to go up 12-8 early. Kayley Kingery added seven points in the second quarter to lead the Lady Lions to a 12-point halftime edge.
A big third quarter helped the Lady Wildcats cut the lead to three points before the final frame. There, Jones scored 10 points to help the Lady Lions to the 13-point win. Jones finished with a team-high 22 points; Kingery added 17; Chloe Holyoak scored six points; Chloe Napier had four; and Patience Parsons had two points.
This Thursday, the Lady Lions will travel to Ava for a local match-up at 6 p.m.
