Lady Lions get home victory over Cabool

The Mansfield Lady Lions’ baskertball team picked up their first win of the young season last wee when they hosted Cabool and held on for a 46-41 victory over the Lady Bulldogs.
Cabool led 26-22 at halftime before the Lady Lions pitched a shutout in the third quarter with their 12-0 run to take a 34-26 edge.
Addie Jones scored six points in that frame.
In the win, Jones finishedwith 16 points; Kayley Kingery added 12 points; Chloe Holyoad scored nine; CheyAnn Price had seven; and Chloe Napier scored two points.
Before the win, the Lady Lions opened their season with a tough 55-25 loss to Bakersfield.
Mansfield’s offense was unable to score more than nine points in any of the quarters.
Jones had 12; Kingery added six; Holyoak five; and Napier scored two points.
