Lady Lions get Summit win

The Mansfield Lady Lions’ softball team moved its Summit Conference record to 3-1 this spring after defeating Gainesville in their lone game last week, 14-4.
Mansfield trailed 4-0 through three innings before scoring eight runs in the fourth and six in the fifth behind a 10-hit attack.
Addie Jones had a big day with two hits, three RBIs and three runs scored.
Madisyn Bennett and Patience Parsons had two RBIs and scored twice; Kayley Kingery and Jadalyn Coble had two RBIs and one run scored; Haleigh Jones and Mylee Sullivan had one RBI and one run scored; and Emma Matney had one RBI and scored twice.
On the mound, Addie Jones tossed five innings and gave up two earned runs on three hits with six strikeouts and four walks.
Mansfield is now 8-7.
