Mansfield golf preview
The Mansfield Lady Lions’ golf team has five Lady Lions, led by a pair of returning state qualifiers.
Senior Addison Jones and junior Mylee Sullivan return and are hoping to make another run through the postseason.
The roster also includes senior Chloe Scofield, junior Savnnah Clark and sophomore Kendall Sanders.
“This year, we’re excited to continue building on the strong foundation we’ve established,” said Mansfield head coach Mindy Lemons.
“Last season, we saw great improvement across the team, and we’re proud of the progress each player made. As we move forward, our focus remains on strengthening our fundamentals, growing our knowledge of the game, and supporting one another as teammates. Whether you’re new to golf or continuing from last year, a positive attitude, consistent effort, and respect for the game are key. We look forward to another season of learning, development, and fun on the course...I’m excited to kick off our second year of the golf program. I look forward to seeing them build on their progress and continue to grow. The success of the past two years has laid a strong foundation, and I’m looking forward to the future.”
Mansfield practices at Randel-Hinkle Golf Course in Mountain Grove.
The Lady Lions will compete in Seymour on Sep. 4 and play in Mountain Grove on Sep. 11.
