Mansfield Lady Lions’ volleyball team holds on late to defeat Plato

The Mansfield Lady Lions’ volleyball team won two of three matches last week to push their win total to five.
At Plato on Sep. 30, the Lady Lions won 27-25 and 25-23 in the first two sets before dropping two sets themselves, 25-18 and 25-16.
Mansfield would hold on late to win the fifth set, 15-11.
Against Hurley, the Lady Lions fell, 25-16, 25-21 and 25-23.
Mansfield did get a win over Bradleyville on Oct. 3. (Information for that match and from matches in the Houston Volleyball Tournament were not available at press time.)
