Mansfield Lady Lions travel to Galena and leave with big 16 point victory

The Mansfield Lady Lions’ basketball team picked up a dominating win last week when they traveled to Galena and left with a 40-24 victory over the Lady Bears.
It all started in the first quarter as five different players scored in a 14-point frame.
Both Addie Jones and Kayley Kingery scored four points for the Lady Lions.
Mansfield led 20-11 at halftime and kept their pace in the third quarter.
The Lady Lions ended the game on a 12-5 run as Chloe Holyoak scored five points and Jones added a big 3-pointer.
Kingery scored 12 points; Jones had 11; Holyoak added nine; Chloe Napier scored four points; while CheyAnn Price and Rylee Dixon both had two points.
Before the big win, the Lady Lions hosted Fordland and fell, 51-26.
The Lady Eagles opened the contest on a 17-5 run.
Meanwhile, the Lady Lions scored 10 points or less in all four quarters and lost by 25 points.
Kingery led Mansfield with eight points; Jones scored six; Napier had four; Patience Parsons had three points; both Dixon and Price had two points; while Holyoak had one point.
