Mansfield softball loses in semifinals

The Mansfield Lady Lions’ softball team’s season came to an end last Monday in the Class 1, District 4 semifinals as they fell to Bakersfield, 18-5. Bakersfield scored four runs or more in all four innings and took advantage of Mansfield’s six defensive errors.
Offensively, Jadalyn Coble hit a two-run, home run as she had two RBIs and one run scored.
Cayley Young had two RBIs; Kayley Kingery added one RBI and one run scored; while Addie Jones scored twice.
On the mound, Jones tossed four innings and gave up seven earned runs on 10 hits with five strikeouts and six walks.
Mansfield ended their season over the .500 mark at 11-10.
