Local archers compete in Mountain Grove
Many local archery program competed in the Mountain Grove tournament held on Jan. 17.
Mountain Grove
As a team, Mountain Grove took first place after being led by Taylor Garner and his first place score of 290 in the 3D Tournament.
Other top scores came from Hayden Akers (271), Kai English h(269), Kyler Kumpula (269), Kandi Alessi (269), Slade Rodgers (264), Damien LaFranchise (263), Chayden Wadkins (260) and Chloe Slagle (260).
Mountain Grove was also first place as a team in the bullseye tournament after Akers shot a 288 for the second best score of the event.
Other top scorers in bullseye were Garner (282), Olivia English (273), Slagle (270),Alessi (265), Hayden Johnson (265), and Aden Estep (259).
The Mountain Grove Middle School was first place as Adele English and Kenzie Oliphant both shot a 260 in the 3D tournament.
They won the bullseye tournament as Oliphant led the way with a score of 271.
Norwood
Elizabeth Hinote shot a 289 to take first place in the 3D tournament as she also had the top girls score on the day.
Other top scores came from Jacob Brixey (279), Chanse Sanders (276), MacieMae Pridemore (262) and Lane Watkins (261).
In the bullseye tournament, Sanders shot a 290 to win the tournament.
Other top Norwood scores came from Brixey (285), Hinote (283), Watkins (276) and Pridemore (263).
As for junior high, Jackson Venable shot a 257 and Spencer Perl shot a 249 in the bullseye tournament.
Venable led the junior high in the 3D tournament with a 259 while Perl added a 254.
Mansfield
In the 3D tournament, Darren Connors led the Lions with a 260. Joseph Kidd added a 257.
In the bullseye tournament, Connors shot a 266 and Kidd added a 258. Rayne Short shot a 248.
As for Mansfield Junior High, Cache Holyoak led the team with a 256 and Barrett Kilgore shot a 249 in the 3D tournament.
Holyoak shot a 258 to lead the Lions in the bullseye tournament.
Manes R-V
In the 3D tournament, Layne O’Neal lead Manes R-V with a 275 for the best middle school score.
In the bullseye tournament, Zeke Miller led his team with a 257 while O’Neal shot a 256.
Skyline R-II
Paige Jonas led Skyline R-II with a 261 in the 3D tournament.
Tucker Johnson shot a 240.
In the bullseye tournament, Jonas shot a 257 and Railynn Dixon shot a 253.
