Mountain Grove, Mansfield golf in area matches
Both the Mountain Grove and Mansfield golf teams took part in area tournaments last week.
Mountain Grove
Mountain Grove’s golf team experienced some success in a pair of area tournament last week.
At the Willow Springs Tournament, the Panthers were third place out of nine teams as they were led by Mason Henry’s 83.
Other top scores came from Brady Anderson (84), Brady Harris (85), Leedy Curtis (90) and Jack Tyrrell (93).
In the Seymour Tournament played on their home Randel-Hinkle Golf Course, the Panthers were sixth place overall out of 20 teams.
Harris led Mountain Grove with a 79.
The other top scores came from Curtis (81), Anderson (82) and both Jack Tyrell and Aidan Kumpula shot an 88.
Mansfield
Mansfield’s lone Lions’ golfer competed in the Seymour Tournament last week held at the Randel-Hinkle Golf Course in Mountain Grove.
Kadyn Ivy shot a 97 as he was the lone golfer to participate in the event for the Lions.
Ivy will next be representing the Lions in the Cabool Tournament on April 14 and at the New Covenant/Conway Tri-match on April 15.
