“Fremont Hills is a challenging championship style golf course,” said Coach Mike Mallow. “It has fast greens and multiple bunkers. This was a good experience for our girls team.”
In the Bolivar Tournament played at Silo Ridge, Mountain Grove’s 436 was good for seventh place out of 23 teams.
Morgan Tyrrell’s 93 was good for 17th place out of 118 total golfers. Both Criner and Crewse shot a 113, Slagle had a 123 and O’Connor added a 117.
“This is a championship-style golf course,” Mallow noted. “They host district and state tournaments. The course requires precise shot making and excellent speed control with putts. The scores were higher than we’d like. The course is very challenging and is a great experience for our girls…Hopefully these tournaments will prepare us for postseason opportunities.”
