Lady Panthers’ returners set for run at SCA Conference

The Mountain Grove Lady Panthers’ basketball team has three returning starters from a squad that compiled a 21-5 record last year before their season ended with a second round loss in districts.
All-Conference players Sadie Schober and Stella Benson are returning to the line-up.
Schober will play the point while Benson will bring her energy, hustle and 3-point shooting.
Rowen Kelly’s attitude is considered a strength for this year’s squad.
Hadley Driskell, Gabby Miller and Kaylee Virtue are also returning for the Lady Panthers.
A freshman class of newcomers are also expected to fight for varsity time.
Mountain Grove head coach Mike Mallow said one key for his team is to compete for an SCA crown.
Players lost to graduation include Landry Golden and Raylee Stenzel, who is playing sand volleyball at Missouri State University.
The Lady Panthers moved on from Fordland’s tournament this year and will open Dec. 1-5 by competing in the Marshfield Tip Off Tournament.
