Lady Panthers crush Houston by 30 points

Mountain Grove’s defense closes in before stealing the ball from a Houston player.
The Mountain Grove Lady Panthers are now 2-1 in Souch Central Association (SCA) Conference play after splitting a pair of contests last week.
Their big win was a 30-point victory over Houston, 61-31.
It was tight in the first quarter as Mountain Grove held a slim 12-10 lead before they went on a 23-5 run as eight different players scored.
Briley White hit a pair of 3-pointers to help in the frame.
Mountain Grove would get a lot of bench players into the game during the second half as the Lady Panthers cruised to the easy win.
Sadie Schober scored a team-high 10 points; Bella Garner had nine; White added eight; Kaylee Virtue, Stella Benson and Rowen Kelly each had seven; Hadley Driskill had five; Briley Curtiss scored four points; while Cassidy Behrendsen and Marli Melton each had two points.
Before the big win, the Lady Panthers traveled to Thayer and fell to the Lady Bobcats, 80-62.
Thayer opened the game on a 26-8 run and simply never looked back in their win.
Kelly made five, 3-pointers in the loss and scored a team-high 23 points. Schober had 19; Driskill and Melton scored eight; and both Brixley Williams and Benson had two points.
