Lady Panthers nearly beat Cabool, cruise past rival Ava

The Mountain Grove Lady Panthers’ volleyball team took a now 21-win Cabool team to the brink of a loss last week. Unfortunately, they fell short, 3-2.
Mountain Grove won 25-19 in the first set and lost the second set, 25-14.
The Lady Panthers rebounded with a 25-23 win in the third set before dropping the final two sets, 25-17 and 15-10.
That loss ended a three game South Central Association (SCA) Conference winning streak that included a three set win in Ava.
The Lady Panthers won 25-23, 25-14 and 25-16.
