Lady Panthers open SCA beating Liberty

The Mountain Grove Lady Panthers’ record is back to .500 at 7-7 overall after they won two of their past three contests.
Their big win coming last week on the road in the South Central Activities (SCA) Conference opener against Liberty (Mountain View), 65-57.
Marli Melton scored seven points and Stella Benson added a pair of 3-poitners in a 22-point fourth quarter to help the Lady Panthers pull away late for the victory.
Marli finished the game with 20 points as she scored at least six points in each of the final three quarters.
Sadie Schober scored a team-high 23 points; Benson had 10; Rowen Kelly scored five; Kaylee Virtue had four; Briley Curtiss scored two points; and Hadley Driskill had one.
One game earlier, Mountain Grove cruised past Bakersfield, 58-41.
Nine different Lady Panthers scored in the victory.
Schober had a team-high 18 points; Benson added 15; Melton scored 10; Adrienne Bradshaw, Virtue and Kelly had three points; and Cassidy Behrendsen, Driskill and Curtiss each scored two points.
A week earlier, the Lady Panthers fell to a good Alton team, 66-57.
Schober had a big game for Mountain Grove, leading her team with 27 points. B
Benson made three, 3-pointers for nine points; Curtiss and Virtue both had six points; Behrendsen had five; and Melton added four.
