Lady Panthers take second in Clever

The Mountain Grove Lady Panthers’ golf team finished second in the team standings in the recent Clever Invitational held at Hidden Valley Golf Club in Clever.
Mountain Grove’s girls finished with a 387, holding off Reeds Spring by 24 strokes in an event that featured 12 schools.
Morgan Tyrrell led the Lady Panthers with a sixth place score of 87. Zoey Criner set a personal record with a 95 for 11th place, Chloe Slagle was 22nd with a PR of 101 and Emma Crewse shot a PR of 104 for 25th place. Cara Nelson added a 130.
“The girls are improving and did a great job,” said Mountain Grove coach Mike Mallow. “Second in a large field is an awesome accomplishment!” Mansfield finished eighth as a team with a 456. (No statistical information was available for the Lady Lions as of press time.)
