Mountain Grove cross country runners shine in nearby Arkansas race

Mountain Grove cross country runners celebrate their team’s hardware earned at a race last week in Mountain Home, Ark.

For the third meet in a row, the Mountain Grove Panthers’ cross country team finished first in the team standings. This time, they had their top five runners finish in the Top 15 of the Clint Pevril Bomber Invitational in Mountain Home, Ark.
Skyler Oliphant won first place overall after completing the course in 17:59.86 while Max Guilliams placed second with a time of 18:01.79.
Masen Byerly was fourth (19:30.37), Mason Henry placed 10th (21:02.71), and Trigg DeVries was 15th (22:24.63). Lincoln Zohner (27:23.24) also competed.
The Lady Panthers had three of four runners finish in the Top-5 and four in the Top-20. Keena Roth won the invitational with a first place time of 22:03 while Makynli Blackwell was right behind her in second place (22:15).
Nyelli Soto placed fourth with her time of 23:22 and Bella Garner was 19th (32:37).
