Mountain Grove golf preview

The Lady Panthers’ golf team will be led by returning seniors Emma Crewse, Chloe Slagle and Payton O’Connor.
The squad also features juniors Gabby Miller, Cara Nelson and Aspen Shelton; sophomores Leah Broome, Peyton Tyrrell and Sophia Cameron; along with freshman Avery Talley.
“I’m excited to see what these girls can do,” said Mountain Grove coach Mike Mallow.
“We have three seniors, the biggest class ever. We are excited about the continued growth...We are looking for continued improvement. Each year of the program we have had someone qualify for the state tournament. We hope to continue that streak.”
Mountain Grove opens their season in the Seymour Tournament on Sep. 4. They will host an event on Sep. 11 at Randel-Hinkle Golf Course.
