Record books continue to be revised for Mountain Grove track and field

Mountain Grove’s boys and girls track and field team has continued to make revisions to their record books, especially in the recent Zizzer Relays at West Plains.
At the Zizzer Relays , the 4x100-meter relay team had the eighth best time in school history at 44.94 seconds to place fifth. The team includes Beau Nelson, Cooper Hoernng, Aden Estep and JP Dickey.
The 4x200-meter relay team of Jaxon Kelly, Estep, Hoerning and Dickey placed sixth with a time of 1:34.99, which ties them for the 12th best in school history.
The 4x400 placed fourth (3:37.38) and the 4x800 was fifth (9:06.42).
Andrew Whitson’s fourth place toss of 140’2” was seventh best in school history, passing Darren Tooley’s 139’4” in 1989.
Malaki Williams placed sixth in the shot put (13.42 meters) and Clayton Maloney was sixth in the pole vault (3.5 meters).
Though he was ninth, Hunter Bartlett’s 10:43.49 was 11th all-time in school history, passing Alan Holland’s 10:46.12 from 1990.
Bartlett was also seventh in the 1,600 (4:56.97).
Dickey placed seventh in the 300-meter hurdles (44.41).
The 4x800-meter relay team led the Lady Panthers with a third place time of 11:25.21.
The 4x200 was fifth (1:54.92) and the 4x100 was sixth (53.68).
Raylee Stenzel placed fourth in the 200 meters with a time of 28.35 seconds.
Kylie Roth placed fifth in the 300-meter hurdles (50.22) and sixth in the 100 (14.21).
Lilly Hines was fourth in the pole vault (2.59 meters) and sixth in the 100-meter hurdles (18.17).
Rowen Kelly was eighth place in the high jump (1.37 meters).
Though Zoey Criner was ninth in the discus with her toss of 93’9.25”, it was the 15th best in school history, passing Jessica Roberts’ toss of 93’2” from 2009.

Clever Invitational
In the Clever Invitational, Dickey led the Panthers with a third place finish in the 300-meter hurdles (44.22).
Slade Rodgers took sixth in the shot put with a toss of 12.05 meters.
The 4x100-meter relay team was seventh (47.38).
Ethan Haacke placed eighth in the 110-meter hurdles (18.62).
As for the Lady Panthers, Sadie Schober was fifth place in the long jump with a leap of 4.39 meters.
The 4x800 was fifth (11:34) and the. 4x200 was seventh (2:02.14).
In the 1,600 meters, Nyelli Soto was sixth (6:17.66) and Keena Roth was seventh (6:19.78).
Soto was also eighth in the 800 meters (2:45.69).

Jim Vaughan
Invitational
In the Jim Vaughan Invitational at Hillcrest featuring the boys, the best finish came from Hoerning, who was 14th place in the triple jump after the leap of 12.26 meters.
Estep was 16th place in the 200 meters (23.15).

Girls Night Out
The best finish during the Girls Night Out event came from Kylie Roth, who was 18th in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 51.30 seconds.
