2025-2026 All-Wright County Girls Basketball Team has been selected

The Wright County Journal has officially released its list of All-Wright County girls basketball selections for the 2025-2026 season.
End of the year statistics were submitted by all eight basketball programs (boys and girls teams) in the county. Statistics do help the Wright County Journal in making the selections, but intangibles of the players are also considered along with a player’s defensive efforts.
Co-MVPs were chosen this year for the girls and the two players are both Norwood Lady Pirates.
Senior Gentry Davault and sophomore Kalie Chadwell were both recognized as they helped the Lady Pirates finish just a few seconds away from their fourth straight trip to the Final Four as they were also winners of four straight district championships. Norwood also went undefeated in the Summit Conference and the Lady Pirates even earned some hardware with a consolation title in the prestigious large school Pink and White Tournament.
Davault’s statistical numbers were mesmerizing once again this year as she was a Co-MVP a season ago in Wright County.
She averaged 10.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 2.4 blocks and 2.0 steals per game.
As a post player, she finished the year with 142 total assists. Defensively, she had a total of 66 blocks this season as she was very instrumental to her team’s success on both sides of the floor.
Chadwell led all of Wright County in her second season with 19.4 points per game. She also averaged 5.6 rebounds and 3.1 steals per game.
Her athleticism and ability to shoot the ball helped the Lady Pirates to yet another great season.
Hartville junior Kinley Cryer was once again a first-team selection after she averaged 16.1 points, 3.5 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game.
She made 65, 3-pointers this year and made eight of them in a 46-point contest during the Mountain Grove Holiday Tournament.

She helped Mountain Grove to a 16-win season and hit the big game-winning shot to beat Willow Springs in the Mountain Grove Holiday Tournament’s third place game.
Though her team did not have a lot of success on the court, Mansfield senior Addie Jones did her part to help the Lady Lions and she is the final first-team, All-Wright County selection.
