Clinton Gibbens
The City of Mountain Grove announced last week the resignation of Fire Chief Clinton Gibbens and his final day with the City will be April 10.
City Administrator Dakota Bates notes that “Chief Gibbens has served the Mountain Grove community with dedication, professionalism and a strong commitment to public safety.”
He is credited, during his tenure, for his key role in strengthening departmental operations, enhancing training standards and building meaningful relationships within the community.
“Chief Gibbens has been a steady and impactful leader for our Fire Department,” City Administrator Bates said. “His commitment to service and his investment in both his team and this community have left a lasting mark. While we are certainly disappointed to see him go, we support his decision and wish him continued success in this next chapter.”
Effective April 11, Assistant Fire Chief Danny Smart will assume the role of fire chief.
“Danny Smart has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, operational knowledge, and a deep commitment to our community,” Bates said. “We are confident in his ability to lead the department forward and continue delivering the high level of service our residents expect and deserve.”
The City of Mountain Grove extends its sincere gratitude to Chief Gibbens for his service and contributions and looks forward to a seamless leadership transition within the department.
