Republican Lincoln Day event slated for June 5

The Wright County Republican Central Committee (WCRCC) is hosting the annual Lincoln Day Republican event scheduled for June 5 and will be held at Shetler’s Event Center in Mountain Grove.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner to begin at 6 p.m.
The event is open to the public and all Statewide and County level officials are invited to attend.
Senate District 16 and County-wide candidates will be invited to speak. The guest speaker this year will be Scott Fitzpatrick, State Auditor. In addition, the WCRCC will receive a session update from State Rep. Melissa Schmidt and Missouri Right to Life representatives will be in attendance with information on Amendment 3, an important issue that will be on the Nov. 3 General Election ballot.
Countywide races that are opposed are Associate Circuit Judge and Presiding Commissioner. Countywide races that are unopposed County Clerk, Collector, Treasurer, Recorder of Deeds, Prosecuting Attorney and Circuit Clerk.

Fitzpatrick
Scott Fitzpatrick has been Missouri’s 39th State Auditor since 2023 and serves as Missouri’s “taxpayer watchdog.”
His focus is on making sure all levels of government is “efficient, effective and transparent.”
According to the biography on the auditor.mo.gov website, Fitzpatrick is “committed to rooting out fraud in government and ensuring those who are responsible for stealing taxpayer funds are held accountable for their actions.”
Previously, he served as Missouri State Treasurer from 2019-2023. He was also a state representative from 2013-2019.
Fitzpatrick is a graduate of Cassville High School and the University of Missouri. He and his wife, Mallory, have four sons, Luke, Carson, Noah and Henry.
