Mountain Grove takes strides

The Mountain Grove cross country program has all of their runners returning from a young squad a year ago.
The boys are led by Hunter Bartlett, a junior, and sophomores Skyler Oliphant, Trygg DeVries, Trece White and Max Guilliams.
Lincoln Zohner is a sophomore move-in from Texas while freshman Masen Byerly is also joining the program.
“We may be young, but we are driven by ambition and a desire to improve,” said Mountain Grove head coach Lori Hyde. “Our focus is not just on competing, but also on building a culture of perseverance and teamwork. Every runner is vital to our success, and together, we’ll strive for greatness.”
As the season unfolds, fans can expect to see these athletes pushing their limits, supporting one another and representing Mountain Grove with pride, Hyde noted.
Mountain Grove will host their annual race on Sep. 30.
