Norwood FFA, 4-H shine at Grasslands contest

Congratulations to the Norwood FFA and Norwood 4-H Grasslands teams for their success at the National Mid-America Grasslands contest on June 3. Teams have to qualify at State Grasslands in the Fall to compete at Mid-America. The Grasslands contest consist of four sections including plant identification, solving a pasture scenario Analyzing soil maps and wildlife habitats. The Norwood FFA Grasslands team placed second in the nation this year. Team members include Jenna Brixey, Sydney Irwin and Jacob Brixey. Jenna Brixey was second high individual and Sydney was fifth high individual. The Norwood 4H Grasslands placed third in the nation. Team members are Cooper Carmon, Myles Phillips and Madison Wedge.
