Lady Pirates cruise past Lady Panthers

Norwood’s Gentry Davault defends a Mountain Grove shot. Davault dominated both sides of the court and scored 23 points in the win.
The Norwood Lady Pirates were completely locked in to their game plan on both sides of the floor last week when they traveled to Mountain Grove and left the Arena with a convincing 69-33 victory.
A 12-0 run in the first quarter with the help of 11 points scored by both Gentry Davault and Kalie Chadwell in a 26-point frame was too much for the Lady Panthers to overcome.
Norwood made 12-of-19 shots from the field to go up 26-8.
A 5-0 run in the second quarter pushed the lead to 25 points as Norwood led 42-18 at halftime.
Chadwell’s nine points in the fourth quarter helped the Lady Pirates to seal the big win.
Chadwell tallied 27 points, five rebounds and two assists; Davault scored 23 points, nine rebounds, two blocks, two assists and one steal; Jaycee Hall had nine points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal; Jayden Chambers had five points, six rebounds, three assists and one steal; and Lydia Harden had five points, two rebounds and two assists.
Stella Benson led the Lady Panthers with 15 points, two assists, one block and one rebound; Sadie Schober had nine points, three rebounds and one steal; Briley Curtiss added four points, and one assist; Marla Melton had two points and six rebounds; Bella Garner added scored two points; and Brixley Williams had one point and one rebound.
