Norwood’s Chambers, Chadwell, Bradshaw shine in meets

Norwood’s track and field team has excelled in meets held recently in the area with the help of the Lady Pirates’ Jayden Chambers and the Pirates’ Keller Bradshaw.

Clever Invitational
In the Clever Invitational, Jayden Chambers won the 400 meters with a time of 1:02.67 while teammate Kalie Chadwell was sixth (1:05.42).
Chambers also won the 1,600 meters with a time of 5:36.34 and she was fourth in the 800 (2:37.27).
As for the Pirates, Keller Bradshaw was second in the high jump after clearing 1.93 meters.
Keller was also ninth in the long jump (5.61 meters).

Zizzer Relays
In the Zizzer Relays held in West Plains,  Chambers was second in the 400 (1:03.11) and fourth in the 1,600 (5:42.51).
Chadwell added a 132th place run in the 100 (14.31).
Bradshaw won the high jump in the event after clearing 1.98 meters. He was also sixth in the long jump (6.09 meters).

Chadwick Invitational
In Chadwick, Chadwell took first place in the 200 meters with a time of 29.08 seconds. She was also third in the 100 (13.88) and third in the 400 (1:07.55).
Chambers won the 400 (1:04.60) and won the 3,200 (13:35.46). She was also second in the 1,600 (5:43.77).
Bradshaw won the high jump with a leap of 1.88 meters. He was also sixth in the long jump (5.57 meters). He added a 10th place run in the 100 (12.33).

Ash Grove
In the Ash Grove Whitehead Invitational, Norwood had a really solid meet.
Chambers won the 400 meters (1:04.68) and the 1,600 meters (5:38.98).
Both the 4x100-meter relay team (55.55) and the 4x200-meter relay team (1:55.96) won their races.
Chadwell was second in the 200 meters (28.29) and the 400 (1:06.69).
Autumn Gunter was seventh in the 100 (14.81).
Bradshaw led the boys by taking second in the high jump (1.82 meters) and sixth in the 100 (12.24).
Caleb Barker finished 11th in the 1,600 meters (2:49.64).
