Norwood CC brings home some medals

Norwood’s cross country program brought home three medals from the 2025 Scenic River Run held last week in Van Buren.
The Lady Pirates had a pair of top five finishes in a field of 83 total runners.
Jayden Chambers was not too far off the pace of a first place Potosi runner as she just held off a Doniphan runner for second place at the finish line with a time of 21:23.30.
Kalie Chadwell placed fifth to earn a medal with her time of 22:59.10.
Sadie Kelly came in 30th place with a time of 25:29.60.
For the Pirates, Caleb Barker competed (26:37.40).
Bryson Chadwell, in the middle school race, was third place overall out of 102 total runners with his time of 10:48.90 n the 2,400-meter run.
Also participating were Wyatt Jarrett (13:33.50), Jackson Venable (14:02.80) and Paul Kelly (17:12.40).
Over the past week in Hermitage, two runners left the Mark Sabala Cross Country Invitational with medals.
Kalie Chadwell was eighth place out of nearly 90 runners as she had a time of 22:13.98 for the Lady Pirates.
In the middle school race, Bryson Chadwell was third place out of around 170 runners with his two-mile run time of 12:25.67.
Placement was for Class 1-2 combined.
