Norwood CC picks up some medals

The Norwood cross country program has experienced some early season success in a pair of area races.
This past weekend in Bolivar, two Norwood runners earned Top-10 medals in the SWCCCA Richard Clark Invitational.
Among the 342 runners in the race, Jayden Chambrers was first place among Class 1’s 52 runners with her time of 20:10.82 Overall, Chambers finished in 29th place. Kalie Chadwell was seventh place or 78th place overall with a time of 21:26.44.
In the middle school boys race, Bryson Chadwell won first place for Classes 1, 2 and 3 with his time of 8:52.07. He was eighth place overall among a field of 426 total runners.
There were no high school boys who competed at the SWCCCAs for Norwood.
Back on Aug. 30, two Lady Pirates medaled in the Fellows Lake 5000.
Chadwell was seventh place overall with a time of 22:35.10. Sydney Irwin finished with her time of 32:38.29.
