Ivan “Lee” Forrest
Ivan “Lee” Forrest, son of Delta (Snavely) Forrest and the late Ivan “Buck” Forrest, was born July 12, 1950, at Norwood. He passed away Feb. 16, 2026, at his residence in Norwood, at the age of 75. Lee grew up and attended school in Norwood and graduated from Norwood High School in 1968. He attended and graduated from Southwest Missouri State College receiving his bachelor’s degree in agriculture. Lee started his dairy operation while he was attending college and continued dairy farming for more than forty years. During that time he also had beef cattle. He was still operating a beef farm at the time of his passing. Lee was united in marriage to Sue Brock on March 9, 1974, in Norwood. Two children, April and Ivan, were born to this union. Family was very important to Lee and he loved being with his family. Lee enjoyed going fishing with his brother, Rick. He also liked bow fishing and going hunting in Colorado.
Lee was preceded in death by his father, Buck Forrest; his brother, Rick Forrest; and his sister-in-law, June Forrest. He is survived by his wife, Sue Forrest, of the home in Norwood; his daughter, April Carmon and her husband, Joel, and his son, Ivan Forrest, all of Norwood; his mother, Delta Forrest, of Norwood; two sisters, Janet Grimm and her husband, Garry, of Nemo, S.D., and Karen Kemper and her husband, Larry, of Mountain Grove; one brother, Alan Forrest and his wife, Jennifer, of Forsyth; three grandchildren, Ivy Forrest, Trenton Carmon and Cooper Carmon; and many other relatives and friends who will miss him very much. Visitation for Lee Forrest was held Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, from 5-7 p.m., at Craig-Hurtt Funeral in Mountain Grove. No other services are planned.
