Karen Sue Long Freeman

Karen Sue Long Freeman was born March 13, 1947, in Fremont, Neb. To Benjamin and Marcella (Atkisson) Long. She departed her life in McKinney, Texas in February 2026. Karen graduated in 1965 in Mountain Grove. Karen was a cook/waitress in many restaurants in Mountain Grove. She made the best donuts at Sanders Bakery. Her greatest accomplishments were making gifts for her family and friends. She also loved knitting ear warmers and hats. She met and married Wesley Freeman in one of the restaurants she worked at in Mountain Grove.
She is preceded in death by her parents, nine brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her husband, Wesley Freeman, of McKinney, Texas; five sisters, Patricia Holmes and Rebecca Milton, of Mountain Grove; Shirley Long, of Arkansas; and Wilma Ramos and Daisy Delgota, of Texas; many nephews and nieces. Burial will be at a later date.
