Randy Gene Oliphant

Randy Gene Oliphant, son of the late Lee Troy Oliphant and Mary Edna (Ratterree) Oliphant, was born Oct. 14, 1954, in Cabool. He entered into God’s care on Aug. 24, 2026, in West Plains, at the age of 71. Randy graduated from the Mountain Grove High School, Class of 1972. He worked at various jobs over the years, but his main career was dairy farming. He was dedicated to working on his farm and enjoyed farm life. Randy was a longtime member of the Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed attending services and spending time with fellow believers. Randy was a devoted father and grandfather. He always looked forward to time spent with his family. He truly cherished his granddaughter, “L.J.”
Randy is survived by his son, Roy Oliphant, of Cabool; his brother, Dallas Oliphant, of Mountain Grove; his sister, Vicky Connell and husband, James, of Lebanon; his granddaughter, L.J. Oliphant; and many other relatives and dear friends who will miss him greatly. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, at Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church of Mountain Grove with the Rev. Justin Lawson and the Rev. Tom Ratterree officiating. Special songs were “Amazing Grace” and “When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder” by Michael Wright, Sandy Wright, James Shannon, Tonya Anderson and Diana Anderson. Wendell Yarger, Bobby Ratterree, Jeremy Oliphant, Ricky Ratterree, Keith Turner and Jake Crewse served as pallbearers.
