Bayer named new volleyball coach

Several moves were made during two recent Board of Education meetings fro the Mountain Grove R-III School District.
According the May 23 meeting minutes, Bobbi Jo Bayer was approved as the new Lady Panthers’ volleyball coach.
Coach Bayer comes to MGHS after spending one year in Summersville, where she led the Lady Wildcats to the district title game after a 13-22 season.
According to a report she provided to Summersville when hired last season at Summersville, Bayer earned two All-American titles at the community college level.
She was later recruited to two universities. Later, she coached as an assistant on the community college level and coached a prestigious club called the Vegas Aces in Las Vegas, Nev.
On May 21 in that Board meeting, the district accepted the retirement for bus driver Deanna French and elementary teacher Cheryl Fry.
Resignations were accepted for Sydney McIntosh, middle school teacher; Kaitlyn Van Cleave, occupational therapist; and paraprofessional Chyanne Corey.
Employment was approved for elementary teacher Madison Emery, special education teacher Jordan Mingus and paraprofessional Abigail Wright.
Also in that meeting, the Board set the nonresident tuition at $7,000 annually.
Bids were also accepted for the high school entrance project for Netwatch, Reese Heating & Cooling, and JD & Sons Complete Construction.
An asphalt bid was approved for B&W Asphalt.
