Mansfield R-V holds School Board meeting

The Mansfield R-V School Board held its monthly meeting on April 13 in the District Board Room.
A reorganizational meeting was first held.
Kati Pyle was elected as president, Zach Miller as vice president, Courtnie Glenn as secretary and Colton Jones was elected treasurer.
The Board also approved to set the monthly Board meeting for the second Monday of each month.
In the regular meeting, written administration reports were provided by Zak Konyha, Jena Coberly, Joe Garrison and Adam Hill.
Emma Matney and Rylee Dixon made a presentation to the Board from the Mansfield Student Council regarding possible improvements to the school.
Plans approved by the Board were the District Crisis Plan and the District’s Career Ladder Plan.
A plumbing big from Harker Plumbing was accepted for an elementary bathroom remodel project in the amount of $19,000.
A roofing bid was approved from Rick’s roofing for the sixth grade building and the PAT house in the amount of $30,645.
After a closed session, resignations were accepted for Nikki Gray, school nurse; Arly Roy, teacher and middle school boys basketball and baseball coach; and Wes Johnson, teacher.
Julie Posey was hired as both the head high school girls basketball coach and middle school girls basketball coach with Mindy Lemons hired as her assistant coach.
The Board also approved to re-hire all non-certified staff on a provided list.
