MGHS Alumni Association parade set for July 6

The Mountain Grove High School Alumni Association is looking forward to the annual alumni parade that will take place on Saturday, July 6. 

The 50th year Class of 1974 is coordinating the parade, which will begin at 11 a.m. on 6th St. beside MGHS. 

According to Sheri Unger, Class of ’74, “All classes are invited to participate in the parade, but we would especially like to see classes that are having anniversaries that are five- or 10-year multiples. We are hoping for a great turnout for the parade, which will give the entire community an opportunity to celebrate not only our alumni, but also our nation’s independence.”

It is not too late to participate in the parade.

The Class of 1974 will be honoring multiple faculty and school board members who were at MGHS in 1974 as Grand Marshals of the parade this year.

The Alumni Band will play again this year in the parade. 

All current and former MGHS band members are encouraged to participate with the group in the parade. 

Music to ‘Panther Boy’ and the Star-Spangled Banner will be available. The band will gather at the MGHS Band Room at 10:30 a.m. before the parade.
