Posted

The Adult & Teen Challenge of the Greater South is a nine month residential program followed by a four month internship (optional) designed to help heal and free men and women from life controlling problems such as drug and alcohol addiction, eating disorders, abuse or anything that may be considered a stronghold in their life.

“We are a Christian Discipleship ministry therefore all teaching and counseling methods are Bible-based,” said Admissions Director Jamie Pettigrew in a provided statement.

Students balance their time between the study of God’s word, learning life skills and job training. Students also participate in outreaches and developing a responsible work ethic. They learn coping and character building skills and how to function as a successful Christian in every day society.

There is not a monthly tuition. Those interested will have to call to check on the latest information in regards to induction fees.

The admissions process includes some lab work as well as two phone interviews. If a person is on medications, the ATC will need to request his/her medical records. One must be detoxed off any non-approved medications prior to coming into program.

Required lab work includes a TB skin test (administered and read); pregnancy test (women only); HIV; STD panel (syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia and herpes); Hep. A, B and C; and negative COVID-19 (two days prior to admissions date.)

Results can be faxed to 866-477-4089. Once the results are received, the process has been started as a phone interview will be set up with the person seeking treatment.

“If this program is what he/she wants to do then we will set up second phone interview with the director of the center where he/she will be going,” Pettigrew said. “We have five women centers in the following locations: Russellville, Ark.; Ozark; Brandon, Miss.; Knoxville, Tenn.; and Topeka, Kan. The center she is sent to will depend on availability or the court’s ruling. The men’s center is located in Russellville, Ark.”
