Carter Ray Harrison, son of Corey Joe Harrison and Whitneigh Lynn (Drown) Harrison, was born Feb. 9, 2022, in Mercy Hospital in Springfield. He also departed this life on Feb. 9, 2022. Carter is survived by his parents, Corey and Whitneigh Harrison, of Hartville; his maternal grandparents, Gary and Debbie Drown, of West Plains; his paternal grandparents, Benny and Betty Harrison, of Hartville; his maternal great-grandfather, Robert Drown, of West Plains; his paternal great-grandparents, Bob and Marjorie Tooley, of Hartville; his paternal great-grandparents, Shirley Crossland and her husband, Shorty, of Hartville; one aunt, Jamie Hudson and her husband, Carl, of Grovespring; three uncles, Kegan Drown, Bo Drown and his wife, Sarah, and Garrett Drown, all of West Plains; as well as a host of other relatives and friends, though he never met them. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Billy and Mary Moore and Kathy Barbour Drown; and paternal great-grandfather, Logan Harrison. Although we only got to spend a short time with him, he will always be in our hearts. Graveside services for Carter Ray Harrison were held Monday, Feb. 21, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Durbin Cemetery, Hartville, with Jason Roberts officiating. Song selections were “Homesick” and “The Father, My Son, and The Holy Ghost.” Pallbearers were Garrett Drown and Carl Hudson.
