City of Norwood holds its 40th Farmers Day

Posted

Norwood hosted its 40th Farmers Day last Saturday as many area residents packed downtown for a full line-up of events.

Farmers Day included both a main parade and children’s parade, games, crafts, music and more.

Entertainment included music from the Abundance Quartet, a fantastic southern gospel quartet out of Branson, and Centerline Band, a country, classic rock back featuring musicians from the local area.

There was also a 3rd Annual Pie and Cobbler Baking Contest.

Parade Information

The Grand Marshals for this year’s parade were Joe and Norma Sellers.  Joe and Norma have been members of the Norwood community for 47 years.  Norma worked with Janice Wright to bring the very first Farmers Day Festival to reality 41 years ago.
