Cynthia Kay Brickles, 58, of Cabool, passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021. Cynthia was born in Athens, Ohio, on July 16, 1962, to Delbert Brickles Sr. and Violet Cook. Cynthia was a caregiver and CNA for close to 32 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, playing board games, and having cook outs. 

Cynthia was preceded in death by her father, Delbert; her mother, Violet; and her brother, David. Cynthia is survived by her long-time partner, Michael Puckett; her daughters, JoAnna Johnson and Katherine Hutsell; her sons, Roy Mathews Jr. and Andrew Mathews; her sisters, Silly, Tina, Tammy Sue and Sonya; her brothers, Jerry, Delbert Jr., Dean, Ray, Dana and Lee; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Cynthia was very much loved by all who met her and she will be missed. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home and to Dale Garrison.  A Memorial Service for Cynthia Brickles was held at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Dale Garrison officiating. Song selections were “Three Wooden Crosses,” “Don’t Worry Be Happy,” “You Raise Me Up” and “Angel.” The family has selected Shriners Hospitals for Children for memorial contributions in care of the funeral home.  Memorial services and cremation were under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove.
