Devin Wayne Holt, son of Jonathan Holt and Tiffany Dugger, was born July 17, 2002, in Springfield, and passed away March 24, 2023, near Grovespring. He was 20 years, 8 months and 7 days of age. Devin grew up in Mountain Grove and Hartville areas and graduated from Hartville High School in 2021. He never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Devin loved to pick on his sister and younger siblings and had to always prove that he was the tough one. He became an uncle in 2021, which he was very proud of. Devin always enjoyed a home cooked meal with his family. He would ask many questions making sure everyone knew the correct answers. Devin was saved and baptized and a member of Elk Creek Church. He loved going to church and picking on the guys about their favorite football teams. He thought his Green Bay Packers were better! Devin enjoyed listening to music and being outdoors. He loved riding four wheelers, hunting, and fishing. He always enjoyed being the one with the biggest fish. He loved his animals and thought they all belonged at his house.
Devin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Teresa Ellis and Shirley Davis-Coffey; great-grandparents, Harvey Murin, Floyd Holt, Dixie Brooks, Wilma and Orville Mabe; great-great grandparents, John and Ruby Dugger; cousin, Bryson Holt; aunt, Bethany Holt; several great aunts and great uncles. He is survived by his mother, Tiffany Dugger, of Grovespring; father and step-mother, Jonathan and Shanda Holt, of Norwood; sister, Kyerria Holt, of Norwood; and brothers, Preston Holt, of Grovespring; Dillon Holt and Kyson Holt, of Norwood; nephews, Stetson Holt and Remington Holt; grandfathers, Jerry Dugger, of Hartville; Keith Holt, of Norwood; and Larry Coffey, of Mountain Grove; great-grandmother, Edith Murin, of Norwood; uncle, Jonathon Dugger, of Grovespring; aunts, Jeanne Dugger, of Grovespring; and Amy Holt, of Mountain Grove; many cousins and other family and friends who will miss him dearly. Funeral services for Devin Holt were held Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Norwood Assembly of God Church in Norwood, with the Rev. Dale Martin and the Rev. Rodney Crewse officiating. Song selections were: “Outskirts Of Heaven,” “Five More Minutes,” “If Tomorrow Never Comes,” “Drowning” and “See You Again.” Pallbearers were Preston Holt, Dillon Holt, Kyson Holt, Jonathon Dugger, Bruce Harrison and Tim Harrison. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
